“We are conducting experiments to evaluate Jatropha materials for their suitability & performance in saline/ alkali soils and irrigation with poor quality waters in different agro-climatic conditions in India.  In addition, studies on their irrigation, fertilizers, spacing and pruninig requirements have also been conducted.  In the last two years, we have collected 35 genotypes from different areas.”
