Biofuels Could Boost Global Warming

Interview: Prof Keith Smith

A new study led by Nobel prize-winning chemist Paul Crutzen shows that the combustion of biofuels may release a larger amount of N2O, a powerful greenhouse gas, than previously thought. Scitizen interviewed Keith Smith, co-author of the study, and asked for a reaction from Simon Donner, a N2O expert who is critical of Crutzen’s approach.
