As a result of the submitted abstracts for oral and poster presentations, the ‘Second Conference on Desertification’ will be organized in the AFTERNOON (12.45 – 18.00 hrs) of Tuesday, 24 February 2009, with a new concept allowing ‘summarized’ oral presentations of the posters (max 5 slides) (5’presentation). The ‘normal’ oral presentations are limited to 12’presentation and 5’discussion (max 12 slides).
The conference is FREE of CHARGE, but limited to 40 persons! However a Pre-registration is needed by contacting: Jan.Vermang@UGent.be or Donald.Gabriels@UGent.be

More oral presentations are not possible anymore.
Tentative programme
12.45 hrs: registration and setting up of posters in the International Centre for Eremology (ICE). Ppt presentations are put in order.
13.30 – 14.30 hrs: Oral presentations (12’) and discussion (5’)
14.30 – 15.30 hrs: Poster presentations (5’)
15.30 – 16.15 hrs: coffee/tea break, poster visits and discussion
16.15 – 18.00 hrs: Oral presentations (12’) and discussion (5’)
18.00 hrs: closing
