Food insecurity and dependence on relief agencies

Famine is the order of the day in Konza. Rainfall is scarce making traditional agriculture an insecure source of food and income. No cash crops are grown in Konza and there are no other sources of income. Many people depend on food from relief agencies for survival and all suffer from food insecurity.
Help extend a successful fruit farming program
A group of 250 persons has joined hands to find a solution to food insecurity and dependency on relief agencies. 3 successful fruit farms have been set up. These provide extra food, a better diet and more income to the participants. The village group is looking for ways to extend the fruit growing program to the whole community.
