In developing countries, many people live and work in rural areas. They can contribute considerably to eradicate poverty. Agriterra wants to work with those rural people who are truly dedicated to this by getting organised. Because together you stand strong.
Working Method
A key focus in the work that Agriterra carries out is the cooperation from farmer to farmer. We know that every organisation has accumulated experiences that can be useful to others. That is the reason why Agriterra mobilises the knowledge that Dutch agricultural organisations have, for the benefit of organisations in developing countries. We act as a mediator in the creation of various forms of cooperation amongst organisations in developing countries, and between these organisations and colleague organisations in the Netherlands.

Help the farmers, sign the petition!
Don’t you think we find ourselves in an odd situation? As it looks now, Agriterra cannot support any farmers’ organisation in 2010 due to lack of funds. This is happening while the demand from the farmers’ organisations in developing countries is growing. And world leaders are promising investments in agriculture in these countries.
