The Fresh Water Crisis Worldwide
The United Nations may have declared access to fresh water to be a universal human right, but the sustaining the supply of fresh water is a global crisis. As stated in Water Wars, an estimated 35,000 people die daily from water related causes.
Physical manifestations of Earth’s water crisis include ongoing life-taking drought in Africa, death-dealing floods and tidal waves in Bangladesh, the 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia, hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and the sea breaking through the dykes in Holland and killing 1800 people.
