UAE herbal formula to be subjected to clinical testing
The desert’s plant life seemingly has come under the knife, as warned by the academics and environment officials on Wednesday, with respect to the release concerning the protection of the fragile ecosystems of the country’s vast, sandy plains.
At a recently organized seminar in the capital, officials of the Ministry of Environment and Water, and the Zayed Complex for Herbal Research, pronounced the formation of the National Committee of Desertification in the UAE.
Before the year end, the committee will be considering the fact of preservation with respect to nation’s 88,000 plant species.
Ahmed al Matari, the ministry’s director of combating desertification stated that an immense lot of plant species fall under the endangered species list essentially due to the rapid growth happening in the country.
The aim would be to hunt for proper location in order to plant trees in order to shield cities from the fast approaching sand dunes. Desertification is stated to be a major issue due to increased temperatures and poor rainfall.
