Global warming: Tunisia calls for more decisive role of industrialised countries
TUNIS – Tunisia called upon industrialised countries to play a key role in the achievement of the goals of the Climate Change Conference, to be held in Durban, South Africa, on November 28-December 9, 2011.
The Tunisian delegation attending the international seminar on “Addressing Desertification, Land Degradation and Drought in the Context of Sustainable Development and Poverty Eradication,” organised in New York September 20-24, 2011 on the fringes of the 66th session of the United Nations General Assembly, also underlined the need to endow developing countries with technologies and appropriate technical and financial assistance to face up this phenomenon.
