Seeds, fertilizers distributed among tribal farmers
Khar—The federal government has distributed seeds and fertilizers packages among tribal farmers to enable them to get timely sowing of wheat and others crops in Bajaur Agency. Additional Political Agent Bajaur Agency, Usman Khalid Khan distributed the seeds and fertilizers packages during a function held here on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Additional Political Agent said the federal government was endeavouring to promote agriculture and livestock sectors to improve the overall socio-economic condition of tribal people.
Different projects have been initiated for promotion of agriculture and livestock in Fata especially in Bajaur Agency as poor farmers are directly associated with these sectors, he remarked. The initiated projects include land leveling, protection of fertile land from soil erosion and desertification besides protection it from floods, training to farmers about the use of modern scientific techniques and equipments, modern equipments and provision of free fertilizers and fruit samplings to growers and farmers.
