First West African Hunger and Malnutrition workshop opens in Accra
The first West African Regional Alliance Against Hunger and Malnutrition workshop, opened in Accra on Wednesday. The three-day event is on the theme; “Uniting West Africa Against Hunger and Malnutrition.”
The group is a global voluntary partnership, created on the recommendation of the World Food Summit.
It brings together local, national and international institutions with the aim of building national-level policy dialogue in the fight against hunger and malnutrition.

COMBATING HUNGER AND MALNUTRITION WITH CONTAINER GARDENING (Willem Van Cotthem)
This photo shows how inventive people are when it comes to avoiding hunger and malnutrition. Rc ALCAZAR (See Home Farmer Club : http://www.facebook.com/groups/homefarmersclub.ucg/) posted it to show how PVC pipes can be recycled to form containers on risers to produce a maximum of food. A good example that can be copied everywhere in the drylands, saving water and fertilizer.
