Allotment gardens for daily fresh food (Philippines / W. GOETHALS)

A message from Willy GOETHALS, President of the Belgian allotment gardens ‘Slotenkouter’ in St. Amandsberg (Ghent) :

‘We have been supporting the ‘Hillside Allotment Garden’ in Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao, Philippines.  This garden is now self-supporting.

The local community showed its gratitude by offering us a replica of the billboard at the entrance of their garden.

We will put this billboard at the entrance of our own gardens to inform visitors on that constructive collaboration with our friends in the Philippines.’

Today, in Cagayan de Oro all the local families enjoy a daily ration of fresh food and fruits, which has a tremendous effect on public health, in particular on that of the children.

AN EXAMPLE FOR ALL THOSE CARING FOR FOOD AID !
